           Jenifer Chatfield, DVM - President 2011

Dr. Jenifer Chatfield graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University's College of Veterinary Medicine.  Immediately following graduation, she immersed herself in several aspects of veterinary medicine by working as the Associate Veterinarian at the San Antonio Zoo as well as a part-time associate at the Animal Emergency Room. 

Dr. Chatfield pursued both emergency medicine and zoo medicine throughout her career.  She has owned 2 emergency clinics, in Florida and Texas, and has been the Senior Veterinarian in a zoological park.  Additionally, Dr. Chatfield was the veterinarian supervising the biomedical research program at the University of Texas at Brownsville for 4 years.  She has completed field work in Madagascar and South America, and continues to explore new areas of medicine as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Zoo and Wildlife Medicine.  Currently Dr. Chatfield is an instructor for FEMA/DHS agroterroism courses, National Disaster Medicine System Team Member and performs regular relief veterinary services in the area.














           Jo Ann Daniels, DVM - Vice President 2011

Dr. Jo Ann Daniels is a small animal veterinarian and the        Medical Director of Central Pasco Veterinary Care. She graduated from the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine. Her interests include companion animal medicine, soft tissue surgery, dental procedures, and preventative veterinary health care. Her past experiences include small animal companion care, emergency veterinary care, mobile veterinary medicine, adjuct instructor of veterinary technology, St. Petersburg College and teaching veterinary students at the University of Florida, small animal I.C.U.

Dr. Daniels is involved in many community organizations and events, locally and regionally.  As a member of the Disaster Response Teams, she became FEMA ICS certified and worked with other veterinarians to organize the Tampa Bay Regional Disaster Symposium.  She is also a guest lecturer and teaches disaster medicine to veterinarians and ways veterinary hospitals can prepare for events.  Dr. Daniels has been featured on The Weather Channels Animal Storm Stories as she volunteered in Punta Gorda after Hurricane Charley.  They documented her relief efforts and mobilization of the community to help animals and their families.  Dr. Daniels volunteers to train Firefighters and first responders CPR and oxygen administration to pets.  She is also the recipient of the FVMA 2011 Gold Star Award for outstanding contributions to the veterinary community.




Diana Joyner-Mattox, DVM


Dr. Diana Joyner-Mattox graduated from Zephyrhills High School in 1986 and then enrolled at Pasco Hernando Community College where she earned an Associate in Arts degree while working full-time as a veterinary assistant. Dr. Diana transferred to the University of Florida as a Junior and graduated in 1991 with a Bachelors degree in Animal Science, and continued on to earn her degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. 
In May of 1997 she started her own small animal practice in a small converted home with 1 employee. The practice has grown in leaps and bounds over the last 14 years and expanded into a new 3600 sq-foot state of the art facility in December of 2003.  Dr. Joyner-Mattox's family includes her husband Casey, stepdaughter Lynsey, two dogs, Hunter and Brandy, a colony of feral cats and two horses Gold and Roxy. In her free time she enjoys spending time at home, reading, traveling, hiking, scuba diving, and horseback riding. 
Dr. Joyner-Mattox is a member of the Pasco County Animal Services Advisory Committee, the Coalition for Animal Welfare, West Central Florida, she is Founder and President of Spay Pasco a nonprofit spay/neuter assistance organization and was awarded the Gold Star Award by the Florida Veterinary Medical Association for her animal welfare advocacy in Pasco County.  September 18, 2010 - Dr. Diana Mattox was awarded The Judy Schwartz Humanitarian Award by the Humane Society of the Nature Coast. This honor is "awarded to an Individual, Organization or Company who has made a significant impact on animal welfare locally or nationally".

Terri Readdy, DVM

Dr. Terri Readdy is a second career veterinarian following nine years as a research scientist in the areas of medical & agricultural biotechnology and living in New York, Philadelphia and Birmingham.  After graduating from Mississippi State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine she moved to Tampa to practice.  
With a passion for challenges she has found her primary interests lie in pediatric and geriatric small animal medicine, the human/animal bond and family issues along with some extra skills in avian, reptile and pocket pet medicine.
Dr. Readdy is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Association of Avian Veterinarians, Association of Reptilian and Amphibian Veterinarians and Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians. She serves as the primary veterinarian for Florida Parrot Rescue and is currently providing relief work in various clinics throughout the local area. 
Outside of work, Dr. Readdy  is married and raising teen boys adopted in 2006, adding a pair of dogs, a couple of cats and a trio of birds to round out the zoo.  Dr. Readdy spends her free time volunteering with her church in local mission activities and attempting to travel whenever possible. 
                          Mara Ricci, DVM

Dr. Mara Ricci is a small-animal veterinarian and owner of New Tampa Animal Hospital in Lutz.  Prior to opening her own hospital, Dr Ricci practiced at two multi-doctor Pasco county veterinary hospitals for 12 years. 

Dr. Ricci’s veterinary interests include companion animal preventive medicine, soft-tissue and orthopedic surgery, and caprine pet and herd medicine.  Following graduation from Land O’Lakes High School, Dr. Ricci attended University of South Florida in Tampa, and earned her veterinary doctorate from the University of Florida.

Dr. Ricci resides in Wesley Chapel with her husband and their home-schooled daughter.   In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and their dairy goat herd, silversmithing, undertaking new creative challenges, and reading.
